Innaugural post: the reason for this blog

The purpose of this blog is to document a trip that three of my friends and I are taking from Telluride, CO to Moab, UT. Tom found this company that rents cabins every 30 miles or so between the two cities which are approximately 215 miles apart. They supply water, food, bedding and such, we supply everything else... oh yeah, we also carry everything else with us on our bikes. I suppose that it would be much worse if we did have to carry ALL of the gear, but as it is my gear weighs 20+ pounds there will be a lot of hill climbing. Regardless, I can't wait to see the sites, get some great riding in, and have a chance to hang out with some good friends that I don't get t spend nearly enough time with. Hopefully I'll be able to convince those guys to post as well so that this won't be just another one of my blogs that never gets updated.
